Before you know it the breeding season will be upon us and we are here to help with your mares, whether you have chosen natural or artificial insemination. We will be offering breeding packages again this season and will be starting pre-breeding checks from February onwards.

The pre-breeding check involves:

• CEM swab
• EVA bloods
• Vaginal examination
• Cervical examination
• Ultrasound scan of uterus and ovaries 

Artificial Insemination Package:

• All drugs for bringing a mare into season
• Artificial insemination and ovulation check
• 14 to 17 day scan – this is important to check for twins
• 25 to 28 day scan – this is to check for heart beat
• 42 day scan
• 90 day rectal exam 

Natural cover package:

• All drugs for bringing mare into season
• Post covering check for ovulation
• 14 to 17 day scan – this is important to check for twins
• 25 to 28 day scan – this is to check for heart beat
• 42 day scan
• 90 day rectal exam

These packages do not cover fees associated with:

• Uterine inflammation/infection
• Uterine lavage where necessary
• Management of twins
• Caslicks
• Visit fees or livery
