Our vets will perform a thorough oral exam to identify any abnormalities in your horse’s mouth. We have a range of both hand-held and motorised rasps to perform routine dental care. We recommend your horse’s teeth are checked every 6-12 months depending on their age and previous dental history.
Often a small amount of sedation can allow for a less stressful experience for both you and your horse and allow the vet to perform a more thorough dental. Our vets can discuss whether sedation is required at your visit.
Routine dentals include:
- Thorough oral examination
- Rasping of all sharp enamel points
- Removal of any minor focal overgrowths
- Full dental records
- Reduced sedation prices if required
