Born on a Northumbrian hill farm, Kate fulfilled a lifetime ambition by gaining a place to study at the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Edinburgh. She started at Robson & Prescott in 2004 becoming a director in 2012. Kate is particularly interested in farm animal medicine and herd health. She also has a keen interest in small animal surgery. Outside of work Kate used to enjoy skiing, running, cycling and mountaineering spending large amounts of her free time in Scotland and the Alps, but she is now a mother to Freddie who was born November 2014, so has less time for herself. She is an owner of a Springer Spaniel called Bungle.
