After graduating from Cambridge University Chris started his veterinary career in his native Hampshire. He soon grew tired of long, warm, sunny summers and so moved to the North East in 2004 to be closer to his girlfriend (now wife) Kate. They live on a farm and share their house with two dogs, three cats and several mice - all in perfect harmony! Chris became a director of the practice in 2011. He is predominantly a companion animal vet and has a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery.
Outside work, Chris plays Alto Sax with a local band and is also a clarinetist and pianist. He ran the Great North Run in 2012, 2013 and 2014, raising money for Guide Dogs and local charity PAWS.
